ATC OVERVIEW COURSE 2017

EDITIONS

  • Edition - FIN DE SEMANA. MADRID: from 21 October to 11 November 2017 

 

This course is aimed for the preparation of future recruiting processes in air navigation services providers for of air traffic controllers. Its contents have been prepared in accordance with the updated contents published by ENAIRE in August 2017.

 

 

Course objectives

  • Provide general knowledge on subjects related to air traffic control services.
  • Solve technical questions related to the subjects to be delivered.
  • Learn to spot the signs of stress and implement mechanisms to reduce anxiety in a recruitment process.

 

 

Student profile

The course is addressed to all those who are interested in acquiring or improving their knowledge in subjects related to air traffic control. It has been designed in order to help to successfully pass the test exams on general aviation knowledge within a recruitment process of air navigation service providers.

 

Course contents

1. Aviation Law and Organizations.

2. Aeronautical Information Services and Publications.

3. Flight Plan.

4. Navigation and Surveillance Systems.

5. Basic Meteorology.

6. ICAO/IATA Codes and Aircraft Recognition.

7. Cartography.

8. Air Traffic Regulation (RCA) and Rules of the Air

 

The course includes the execution of simulations of quiz-type tests for self-assessment purposes.

 

In addition, all students will have access, at no additional cost, to a series of theoretical and practical sessions designed to help to control the stress in a recruiting process. They will also be offered the possibility to participate in a series of theoretical sessions on aeronautical English aimed at optimizing their performance in the different tests of the process.

 

WEEKEND Edition

Dates and schedule: This edition will be delivered in four consecutive weekends. The schedule of classes will be from 16:00 to 21:00 on Fridays and from 9:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays. The dates of delivery could be adapted to the process in order to benefit the training and the students.

 

Language: Spanish

 

Location of the course: The classes will be delivered in SENASA’s central facilities (Avenida de la Hispanidad 12. 28042 Madrid).

 

Price: 380 €.

 

Cancellation Policy

If not reached the minimum of 16 students, SENASA reserves the right to cancel the course, returning the full amount paid. The place on the course is only confirmed once payment is made. It is not possible to reserve.

 

To cancel your attendance please e-mail to the e-mail address: elearning@lms.senasa.es at least 7 days before the start of the course, which will entitle you to a refund of 90% of the price (remaining 10% in management expenses).

 

If not carrying out the cancellation, or make it 6 days or less before the start of the course, no amount will be refunded.

 

If you are unable to attend, as an alternative to the cancellation you have the option to someone else replace it in your course registration. To do this, you must communicate their data to the email address elearning@lms.senasa.es warning us of the change at least 24 hours prior to the start date of the course. In this case you will not be refunded any amount.

 

In case of cancellation due to force majeure accredited (death, accident, serious illness or hospitalization in all of them, in his own person or to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity), the student will be entitled to full reimbursement.
