AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE LICENCE (LMA Cat. A, B1, B2 y B3)

 

 

Examination Centers open in 2018

Center of Madrid (Central):

Direction: Avenida de la Hispanidad 12, ATC simulation building (nº 4), 2nd floor, classroom CBT 3.
Open all year (except Easter, August, and Christmas).
From 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

 

Center of Barcelona:

Area of tutorials

The video tutorials are the following:

 

  • Tutorial to register. In this tutorial it is specifically shown the registration process of the applicant, where he/she must enter his/her data in order to be able to access to the application and enroll. Adobe Flash Player is required.
  • Tutorial to enroll. This tutorial shows the enrollment process for one or several exams. Adobe Flash Player is required.
  • Tutorial of the exam toolkit. Here the applicant can familiarize himself with the simple and intuitive tool that will found at the time of the exam. Adobe Flash Player is required.

 

 

Limitations and Differences Exams (for the TMA licence).

1. Removal of limitations.

 

The applicants, who need to remove the limitations from their maintenance license that was issued in accordance with old National Regulation, will have the option of choosing to enroll in the corresponding limitations examination.

 

  • Module 5 - complete (for licenses B1.1 y B1.3)
  • Module 5 - complete (for licenses B1.2 y B1.4)
  • Module 14 - complete (for license B2) and
  • Sub-module 11A.18 - (for license B1.1.)

 

2. Removal of differences.

 

The applicants, who wish to eliminate the differences from their license in order to obtain the LMA license, will have the option of choosing to enroll in the corresponding examinations.

 

These exams are carried out the same way as those for the LMA licenses. Registration and enrollment is done the same way.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS FOR BALLOONS, GLIDERS AND MOTOR GLIDERS

 

 

ENROLLMENT
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS

 

The period for the presentation of applications and/or requests will be 15 calendar days, and will be announced on the website of AESA at least two months before the examinations.

 

WHERE CAN YOU GET THE APPLICATION FORMS?

 

The Application Form for Admission must be submitted to formalize the enrollment; such application can be found in this document.

 

RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS:

 

The applications needed to formalize the enrollment will be sent within the specified periods to the address of SENASA by certified mail, or will be delivered in person at their premises (Aeronautical Safety – Examination´s Department) during regular office hours (9:00 to 14:00).

 

DOCUMENTATION TO BE SUBMITTED

 

Applicants must submit the Application for Admission signed.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

The requirements listed below are related to maintenance experience in balloons, gliders and motor gliders and hot air airships, depending on the type of exam that is requested.

 

1. Age: All applicants must have a minimum age of 18 years of age when submitting the applications. Photocopy of the ID card, NIE or PASSPORT

 

2.-Accreditation of minimum EXPERIENCE:

 

  • 2 revisions of 100 hours and /or annual for those persons who:
    • Come from Training Centers with recognized courses (specialists on mechanics) and have obtained the APTO by Salamanca.
    • Come from an approved center according to Part 147 of Regulation (EU) 1321/2014, after having passed a basic training course of any subcategory of B1 or of the category B3.
    • Have an LMA Part 66 license with any subcategory of B1 or with the category B3.
  • 4 revisions of 100 hours and/or annual for those persons who have passed the studies of:
    • Vocational Training or Upper Grade Educational Cycle in the Aero Mechanical Maintenance Specialty.
    • Aeronautical Engineer, Aeronautical Technical Engineer or Aerospace Engineering Degree.
    • Owner or user pilot.
  • 6 revisions of 100 hours and/or annual for those persons who do not justify equivalent training to the two previous cases.

 

In all experience requirements at least one revision of 100 hours and /or annual must have been made during the 12 months prior to the examination request.

 

LIST OF ADMITTED AND EXCLUDED CANDIDATES

The provisional lists of admitted and excluded candidates to the exams will be published within the 15 days following the last date of admission of applications, according to the time interval of reception established. The time interval for the correction of deficiencies or collection of missing documents of temporarily excluded ones candidates is 10 calendar days. The final lists of admitted and excluded candidates to the exams will be made public after this interval of time.

 

Both lists will be published on the AESA website.

 

PUBLICATION OF EXAMINATION DATES AND PRESENTATION TO EXAMINATIONS

 

The applicants announced in the final list of admitted candidates to the exams, will be presented at AESA-Ocaña facilities on the date and time published, having with them the corresponding original identification document (ID CARD or PASSPORT)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Once the exams have been finished and revised, the Examination Board will agree to publish the results by placing them on the website of AESA
