SENASA has developed along with ICAO the new Safety Management Training Program (SMTP). The SMTP is a full-fledged training package for safety professionals who are involved in planning, developing and implementing State Safety Programs (SSP) and/or Safety Management Systems (SMS).
The SMTP is based on the technological requirements and international regulations relevant to safety management and it is designed to provide state regulatory and service providers with the basic knowledge, skills and attitude to advocate Safety Management.
The SMTP consists of an online training and a face-to-face part.
- The online course provides participants with a solid level of knowledge on safety management theoretical concepts.
- During the classroom training, participants will interact to practice safety risk management and safety assurance processes in the context of the specific operation aviation domains (Airworthiness, Aerodromes, Air Navigation and Flight Operations).
In addition, the Bowtie analysis based on software developed by CGE Risk Management Solutions has been included in the Safety Management Training Program (SMTP) as a way to obtain additional efficiency and effectiveness by managing safety information for different safety management processes in an integrated and systemic way.
